About The Team at
Sharply Enabling Disability Support Services

We started as a small team with a simple belief: disability support should feel personal, consistent, and empowering.
Today, Sharply Enabling DSS continues to deliver on that promise across Adelaide.

OUR STORY

How Sharply Enabling Disability Support Services Began

Sharply Enabling DSS wasn’t planned in a boardroom, it grew from real relationships with real people.

While studying Occupational Therapy, founder Jasmyn was supporting a few long-term clients who eventually needed more hours of care than she could provide alone. Rather than refer them to a large agency, their families trusted her to build a small team who would deliver the same quality of support they’d come to rely on. That trust became the foundation of everything we do.

What started as a handful of dedicated support workers gradually evolved into Sharply Enabling Disability Support Services. We’ve grown carefully and intentionally, adding team members who share our commitment to building lasting, meaningful connections with the people we support

Today, we’re proud to be a disability agency Adelaide families and support coordinators turn to when consistency and genuine care matter most.

OUR FOUNDER

Meet Jasmyn

Hi, I’m Jasmyn and I’m the founder of Sharply Enabling DSS. I deeply value the genuine connections I build with my clients. Over time, each person becomes a part of my extended family — and I feel that sense of connection is shared. It is a true privilege to walk alongside people on their journeys and to be trusted as part of their lives.

I treasure watching confidence grow, goals be achieved, routines flourish, and the simple moments of everyday life be enjoyed. Seeing someone smile, gain independence, or reconnect with what matters most to them is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

Support work is more than a job — it is a passion. I love the individuality and quirkiness that makes each person unique. In a world that can sometimes feel black and white, I believe in celebrating the colour, personality, and strengths that every individual brings.

I hold a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and have been working as a disability support worker since 2019, combining professional knowledge with genuine care to support people in living empowered and fulfilling lives.

Outside of work, I enjoy camping, travelling, live music, staying active, and of course, good coffee.

OUR TEAM

The People Behind the Support

Our team comes from all walks of life. University students, parents, and full-time dedicated support workers. Each brings their own skills, empathy, and energy to the role. What unites us is a shared passion for building lifelong, therapeutic relationships that create real, lasting change. We’re more than support workers. We’re people who genuinely care, show up when we say we will, and work hard to make a difference every single day.

When you work with Sharply Enabling DSS, you’re not assigned a random roster of rotating staff. We take time to match you with team members whose skills, personality, and experience align with your needs and preferences. And if the fit isn’t right, we’ll work with you to find someone who is.

Zakia

Support coordinator

I’m a qualified Social Worker, NDIS Support Coordinator, and Personal Development & Mindset Coach with over six years’ experience supporting people across the NDIS and mental health sectors in Australia. I’m passionate about helping participants build capacity, confidence, and independence, and I provide personalised, person-centred Support Coordination tailored to each person’s goals, strengths, and circumstances.

My focus is on helping participants understand their NDIS plans, maximise their funding, and connect with quality supports that genuinely improve day-to-day life. I work in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive way, combining practical problem-solving, advocacy, and collaborative coordination with providers, families, and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

I support individuals with diverse psychosocial, physical, and intellectual disabilities, with a particular interest in emotional wellbeing, mindset and recovery, and strengthening meaningful community connections. Before entering the disability sector, I spent 12 years teaching and researching internationally in social sciences, which deepened my commitment to empathy-led, respectful practice.

I hold a Master of Social Work from Flinders University, and certifications in Life Coaching and Neuro-Transformation Therapy. Outside of work, I enjoy meditation, nature, creative content, animals, and ongoing personal growth—helping me stay grounded and fully present for the people I support.

Hudson

Admin Support & Support Worker

Hi, I’m Hudson! I’m currently taking a gap year before starting med school,
and I’m lucky enough to wear two hats here at Sharply Enabling—helping to
coordinate care and administrative duties as well as working directly in
the community as a support worker.

Growing up with a brother who has both intellectual and physical
disabilities, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of breaking down barriers
to ensure everyone has equal opportunity. The most rewarding part of this
role is the genuine connection I get to build with people. There’s nothing
better than seeing someone gain the confidence to take on new challenges
and helping them experience life on their own terms.

When I’m not at work, I’m usually at the gym, hanging at the beach, or off
camping. I also have a massive soft spot for anything with an engine,
especially planes and my dream car, the Porsche 911. I bring a lot of
energy to my work and strive for every day to feel like a win for those
that I work with.

Ava

Support Worker

I love support work as I have a passion for working with and helping others. I chose support work as it is flexible with my busy schedule and aligns well with my studies, community services and social work, giving me real life experience. In my spare time I love to play sports, netball and basketball and hanging out with friends and family, most likely sharing a meal together.

Ayesha

Support Worker

I come from a culture where we look after our families and friends who require additional support.

Helping and assisting is always something that makes me feel satisfied. I choose support work as I believe I am getting satisfaction when you see a smile on your clients face and do make a positive contribution in their lives, to me they are not clients while more like part of my life and somehow family to me.

I have done masters in international relations and education  and also certificate 3 in individual support disability and certificate 4 in community services.

Carolyn

Support Worker

Hi, I’m Carolyn.

As a dedicated caregiver and support worker, I bring a unique blend of
compassion, empathy, and experience to my work. Having supported my
beautiful, paralysed sister, I understand the importance of
personalised care and independence. My approach is entered around kindness,
empathy, patience, and effective communication, ensuring that each person
feels valued and understood.

I’m committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment that enhances
the quality of life for those I support. Whether it’s assisting with daily
activities, promoting health and well-being, or providing emotional
support, I’m dedicated to making a positive impact.

My areas of experience are around: Community activities and outings,
transport, housework, gardening, meal preparation, shopping, sports and
exercise, showering, and dressing. I also have my Police Clearance, a
current First Aid/ CPR certificate, and a WWCC.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, cooking,
gardening, movies, music, indoor games / puzzles, pets, football, and
travel.

Ben

Support Worker

I’m really drawn to learning about different clients’ needs and doing what I can to make a positive difference in their life.

I was born with Cerebral Palsy, and throughout my childhood I received care from some amazing support workers — I will never forget the positive impact they had on my life. That was a major factor behind my desire to become a Support Worker. I understand the important role Support Workers have in a client’s development and independence, and having the opportunity to reciprocate the amazing care I received as a child is an incredible opportunity.

Support work is such a fulfilling and rewarding line of work. Going to work knowing you are making a positive impact in a client’s life is a special feeling, and during my time as a Support Worker I’ve learnt incredibly valuable perspectives from each of the clients I support.

I’m currently a nursing student and have previously studied Disability and Developmental Education, which ties in amazingly with support work. I also bring over 15 years of experience in the disability sector in South Australia.

Outside of work, I really enjoy camping and off-roading, hiking, going to the beach, keeping active, and sports. I love rugby (which I played for many years), as well as F1, Rally, and footy.

Ellie

Support Worker

Hi, I’m Ellie and I am new to the Sharply Enabling team! After working as a Legal Aid lawyer for a year within the NDIS appeals space, I realised I wanted to help participants in a more direct way. My former role gave me first hand experience as to how difficult and inaccessible systems like the NDIS can be, and how essential it is for participants to have good support networks to access the community. Support work is essential to giving individuals autonomy in their life and I am grateful to be a part of that journey.

I have completed a Bachelors degree in Law and Arts and am currently doing a Masters in Social Work. My passion is advocating for people living with disabilities, as well as members of intersecting vulnerable communities, such as queer folk, First Nations peoples and refugees/asylum seekers.

In my free time you will find me scavenging local op shops – I collect vintage clothing and homewares for my small business! I always make sure I pop into one of my favourite local cafes along the way.

Janaya

Support Worker

Hi, I’m Janaya.

What I love most about support work is how rewarding it is. I value the opportunity to support others in a meaningful way and help them live more enjoyable, independent, and fulfilling lives. I find it incredibly motivating to build positive connections and make a real difference, no matter how small it may seem.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going for walks, and swimming at the beach. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Human Movement at university and am in my third year. I am passionate about learning and using my knowledge to provide thoughtful, person-centred support.

Sienna

Support Worker

I have always loved helping people, and I believe that passion has led me to where I am today, working as a support worker while studying a Bachelor of Social Work at university. I genuinely enjoy connecting with others, whether that means having a chat, listening to their stories, or supporting them through challenges.

There are so many things I love about my role as a support worker, especially when I am working alongside such an amazing team. Building one on one connections with clients and getting to know them on a personal level is incredibly rewarding. Whether we are grabbing a coffee, heading to the gym, completing day to day tasks, or simply having a laugh together, I value every moment. The strong connections I have built with my clients often make it feel like I am not even working, just spending meaningful time together.

Outside of work and study, I enjoy catching up with friends, going to the beach, working out at the gym, and exploring what is happening around Adelaide, especially discovering new food spots.

Tahlia

Support Worker

My name is Tahlia, I’m 26, and I have been working as a support worker for six years. I first started in support work while studying nursing at university, inspired by my brother who was also a support worker. I quickly discovered how much I loved making a positive impact in people’s lives and guiding them through both good and challenging days, which led me to leave nursing and pursue support work full-time.

Six years later, I’m continuing to grow professionally and academically. I am now halfway through a Bachelor of Psychological Science and Sociology, hold a Certificate III in Individual Support, and plan to study postgraduate Behaviour Support with the goal of becoming a Behaviour Support Practitioner. I enjoy forming meaningful connections and helping people get the best out of life.

In my spare time, I like going to the gym, walking, and relaxing with my family, though work and study keep me very busy! Support work is incredibly rewarding because it allows me to empower people, celebrate their achievements, and make a real difference in their lives every day.

Our Values & approach

What Guides Our Work

At Sharply Enabling DSS, our approach to care is shaped by a set of values we hold ourselves accountable to every day.

Trust and Relationships

We build genuine, reliable connections with clients and their families. Trust isn't assumed. It's earned through showing up consistently, listening carefully, and doing what we say we'll do.

Compassion

Every interaction is approached with empathy, kindness, and understanding. We recognise that behind every support shift is a person with their own experiences, challenges, and hopes.

Family Spirit

We treat the people we support as extended family. That means fostering a sense of belonging, going the extra mile, and genuinely caring about their wellbeing beyond the scope of a service agreement.

Innovation

We think creatively about how to help people discover new interests, opportunities, and ways to thrive. Support shouldn't feel stagnant. It should open doors.

Integrity

We're honest, transparent, and accountable. If something isn't working, we'll have that conversation. If we make a mistake, we'll own it and make it right.

Consistency

People deserve support they can count on. We prioritise stable rosters, familiar faces, and dependable routines because we know how much that matters.

Respect

Every person's individuality, culture, choices, and dignity are honoured. We listen before we act, and we never make assumptions about what someone needs or wants.

Making a Difference

We're not here to simply fill hours. We're here to actively enrich lives in meaningful ways, whether that's helping someone catch the bus independently, supporting them to join a community group, or simply being a reliable presence in their week.

Why Families and Coordinators Choose Us

As an NDIS provider, we understand that choosing a disability agency is a significant decision. Here’s what sets Sharply Enabling DSS apart:

Thorough onboarding & matching

We take time to understand your goals, routines, preferences, and communication style before support begins. You'll have the opportunity to meet potential support workers and decide if they're the right fit, based on their skills, experience and personality.

Regular check-ins

Once support commences, we continue checking in to ensure our team remains aligned with your values and goals, and any changes or updates needed will be listened to and respected.

Clear communication

We respond to enquiries promptly, keep families and coordinators informed, and address concerns as they arise.

Genuine relationships

Many of our clients have been with us for years. That longevity speaks to the quality of care and connection our team provides.
